About the role
Reed Education is supporting a reputable secondary school in Wakefield to hire a Mathematics Teacher for September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging mathematics lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 and contributing to the wider school community.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and curiosity.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as maths clubs and enrichment programmes.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
