Maths Lecturer – Temporary Position

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Maths Lecturer to join a Further Education college on a temporary, full‑time basis. The role involves delivering high‑quality mathematics teaching to FE learners and supporting their academic development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging maths lessons across GCSE, Functional Skills and vocational programmes.
• Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching materials and assessments.
• Assess learners' work, provide constructive feedback and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, achievement and development.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or recognised qualification in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent (as required by the college).
• Previous experience teaching maths within Further Education, sixth form or adult education.
• Experience delivering GCSE Maths and/or Functional Skills Maths.
• Strong knowledge of the maths curriculum and assessment requirements.
