Maths Teacher

About the role

Reed Education is seeking a qualified Maths Teacher to join schools in Sussex on a daily supply or long‑term supply basis. The role starts immediately and offers the chance to work with KS3 and KS4 pupils in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Maths lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
• Assess, track and report on student progress, adapting teaching methods to individual needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes well‑being and learning.
• Participate in staff meetings, parent evenings and school events as required.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.

Required profile

• Valid teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS or QTLS.
• Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 & KS4).
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Current DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Teaching the UK secondary Maths curriculum.
• Lesson planning and assessment for KS3/KS4.
