Maths Teacher – Temporary to Permanent (Rochdale)

About the role

Hays Education is partnering with an ambitious secondary school in Rochdale to fill a Maths Teacher position from September 2026. This role starts as a temporary assignment with the potential to become permanent, offering a supportive environment for both experienced teachers and early‑career teachers.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons.
• Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Mathematics in a UK secondary school.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Passion for inspiring students to achieve their potential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

Required skills

• Experience delivering the secondary maths curriculum.
• Ability to assess and track student achievement.
• Effective lesson planning and delivery.
