Meat Production Cleaner – Full‑time (Temporary to Permanent)

About the role

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced cleaner to join a busy meat production facility in Plymouth. This temporary‑to‑permanent position offers a stable Monday‑to‑Friday schedule in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean production areas, machinery, offices, welfare facilities and outdoor spaces.
• Sweep, mop, dust, sanitise and maintain all designated zones.
• Disinfect communal areas, toilets and staff facilities.
• Use cleaning equipment, chemicals and materials safely and correctly.
• Carry out routine hygiene inspections and report any issues.
• Follow Health & Safety, food hygiene and company procedures.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the site.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Industrial Cleaner, Production Cleaner or Hygiene Operative.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high cleaning standards.
• Reliable, proactive and self‑motivated.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Comfortable cleaning equipment used for meat processing.
• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors.
• Food manufacturing or meat production experience is advantageous.
