About the role
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with proven experience in offshore and marine equipment to join a specialist fluid‑transfer systems company. You will work on unique, bespoke projects, designing storage solutions for hydraulic hoses and other marine hardware.
Key responsibilities
- Develop 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD 2D and AutoCAD Inventor 3D.
- Create detailed 2D manufacturing schematics and keep design revisions up to date.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to price designs and conduct design reviews.
- Support the design team on specialist marine projects and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Required profile
- Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in offshore or marine equipment design.
- Willingness to commute to the office in Cramlington (Newcastle area).
- Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 8am‑4pm, with optional overtime.
Required skills

- AutoCAD Inventor (3D)
What we offer
- Competitive salary £50,000‑£60,000 per year.
- Training and progression on bespoke marine projects.
- Overtime paid at 1.5×.
