Mechanical Engineer – Building Services

About the role

We are seeking two qualified Mechanical Engineers to join a busy team working within commercial building services, facilities management, or critical environments. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers who are confident delivering both planned and reactive maintenance while contributing to a high‑performing engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain and repair mechanical systems and plant equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs.
• Support the smooth operation of building services systems.
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and multi‑skilled engineering practices.

Required profile

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer with relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications.
• Proven experience in commercial building services, facilities management, or critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of at least one of the following: HVAC systems, mechanical plant, water systems, or gas systems.
