Mechanical Engineering Tutor / Trainer

About the role

We are partnering with an independent training provider to hire a Mechanical Engineering Tutor/Trainer who will deliver Level 3 (and some Level 4) apprenticeship programmes in Brighton. The position is full‑time, Monday to Friday, with no shift work, and offers a pathway from hands‑on engineering into a long‑term teaching career.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and workshop‑based Mechanical Engineering training to apprentices.
• Support learners throughout their programme, including preparation for assessments.
• Provide practical, industry‑relevant examples to reinforce theoretical concepts.
• Assess learner progress and contribute to continuous improvement of the training curriculum.

Required profile

• Level 5 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (HND, Foundation Degree or equivalent).
• Professional background such as Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Service Engineer, Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Mechanical Technician.
• No prior teaching experience required – full training and teaching qualifications will be funded.
