Mechanical Fitter – Full‑Time Role in Southampton

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Southampton team. After a fully‑paid two‑week training programme you will gain a City & Guilds qualification and start servicing customer sites across the South East, repairing and maintaining machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer call‑outs, diagnose faults and carry out repairs on a variety of equipment.
• Install, service and replace hydraulic hoses and related components.
• Promote company products and services to existing and prospective customers.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure the company van is clean, organised and fully operational.
• Complete all paperwork and technical documentation accurately.
• Support colleagues across the business when required and adhere to health & safety policies.

Required profile

• Mechanical fitting or maintenance experience, or a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Full UK driving licence (6 points or less) and right to work in the UK.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and maintain a professional attitude.

Required skills

• Hydraulics – installation and repair of hydraulic hoses and components.
• Mechanical fitting – maintenance and repair of machinery.
