Mechanical Project Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to lead the delivery of special‑purpose equipment projects for our customers in Cheltenham. You will act as the primary contact for clients and suppliers, ensuring projects are completed on time, to specification, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from order receipt through to final delivery.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal teams including design, manufacturing, procurement and installation.
• Chair project review meetings and attend site visits at customer and supplier locations.
• Maintain financial control, support project reporting and contribute to sales proposals and planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, CE marking and relevant legislation.
• Verify that equipment meets both customer and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering special‑purpose equipment projects.
• Background in engineering within FMCG, pharmaceutical or automotive sectors.
• Strong communication, commercial awareness and project management capabilities.
