Community Staff Nurse – Full‑time Permanent

About the role

This full‑time permanent position is for a Staff Nurse within the NE District Nursing Service of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. You will deliver high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to patients in their homes across a flexible shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care to community patients, working with patients, families and carers.
• Assess, plan and implement evidence‑based care programmes tailored to individual needs.
• Perform skilled clinical interventions, including complex procedures and long‑term condition management.
• Respond to both planned and urgent/unplanned care needs, prioritising urgent patient requirements.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with professional standards and policies.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC UK PIN (Part 1 or equivalent) and full UK driving licence.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and NMC revalidation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
• Leadership, problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Competent IT skills, including use of digital systems for clinical documentation and communication.
