About the role
The Medicines Management Technician will join the pharmacy team at Cleveland Clinic London, delivering a high‑acuity pharmacy service in a new private hospital. Working under the Lead Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician, you will support both outpatient and inpatient medicines management and collaborate with clinical pharmacists and other clinicians.
Key responsibilities
- Prioritise and obtain accurate medication histories during the pre‑admission process.
- Identify newly admitted patients and confirm or update their medication histories, flagging any changes for the ward pharmacist.
- Facilitate timely supply of non‑stock medications for individual patients.
- Participate in discharge planning meetings to gather information on potential discharges.
Required profile
- GCSE English, Maths, Science and two additional GCSEs or equivalent (essential).
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences plus BTEC or equivalent (essential).
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) (essential).
- Medicines Management Technician qualification or working towards it (essential).
- Accredited Checking Technician qualification (desirable).
- Educational supervisor qualification or working towards it (desirable).
