Membership & Ticketing Assistant – Visitor Experience

About the role

Tate is seeking a Membership & Ticketing Assistant to join its fast‑paced Visitor Experience team. You will work on the ticket desks and contact centre, helping visitors purchase tickets, memberships and related products while delivering a high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Sell tickets, memberships and related products face‑to‑face, over the phone and via email.
• Provide accurate information about exhibitions, events and membership benefits.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with visitors and respond to enquiries promptly.
• Operate ticketing systems and handle cash or card transactions securely.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and support a friendly team environment.

Required profile

• Enthusiasm for sales and customer service in a cultural setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a busy, fast‑moving environment, including evenings and weekends.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion, with an openness to working with a wide range of audiences.

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Basic numeracy for handling transactions.
• Comfort with using ticketing and contact‑centre software.
