MEP Planner

About the role

We are seeking an MEP Planner to join the Southern Region team based in Basingstoke. The role combines technical planning of mechanical, electrical and public health systems with strong coordination across pre‑construction and delivery phases. You will be the sole MEP planner on multiple complex projects, supporting both on‑site and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed MEP programmes using Asta PowerProject, aligned with overall construction master programmes.
• Monitor progress through regular site reviews, updating schedules with subcontractors and flagging issues.
• Present programme updates and planning insights to project managers, construction leads and senior leadership.
• Coordinate with design managers, commercial teams and construction planners to resolve sequencing, access and logistics challenges.
• Support risk identification and mitigation through programme analysis and scenario planning.

Required profile

• Intermediate or advanced user of Elecosoft Asta PowerProject, able to create fully logic‑linked MEP programmes from award to handover.
• 4‑6 years on‑site experience as an MEP planner with solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical and public health systems.
• 3‑5 years experience in tender and pre‑construction planning, contributing to bid submissions.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and experience using Bluebeam Revu for plan reviews.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
