Metrologist - Skilled Fitter

About the role

We are seeking a Skilled Aircraft Fitter with a focus on Metrology to join our production team at the Filton Plant Operations site. You will work on high‑profile programmes such as A400M wing manufacture, A350 gear beam production and research & technology activities.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, including geometric characteristics and symbols.
• Apply the full metrology process, defining datum structures from key aircraft features using interface and frontier drawings and Catia platforms.
• Fit and assemble aircraft components to exacting standards.

Required profile

• Metrology background with proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Level 3 time‑served qualification in an electrical field (e.g., Certificate of Modern Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 plus vocational academic qualification).
• Flexibility, strong focus on safety and quality, and ability to follow complex documentation and design procedures accurately.
• Unrestricted legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
