Mid-Weight 2D Packaging Designer

About the role

We are seeking a talented Mid‑Weight 2D Packaging Designer to join our creative team and develop innovative, sustainability‑focused packaging for our beauty and skincare range.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop primary and secondary packaging for new and existing product lines.
• Translate brand strategy and creative direction into functional, sustainable packaging concepts.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Brand, NPD, Marketing) and external partners to ensure design intent and production quality.
• Support the evolution of the brand visual identity across all packaging assets.
• Stay up‑to‑date with market trends, sustainable materials, finishes and packaging innovations.
• Contribute to creative brainstorming and concept development sessions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of packaging design experience, preferably in beauty, skincare or premium consumer goods.
• Strong portfolio showcasing concept‑to‑production projects with a sustainability focus.
• Excellent eye for typography, composition and detail.
• Confident communicator able to present ideas clearly.
• Highly organised, self‑motivated and able to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

What we offer

• Full‑time permanent role, Monday‑Friday 9am‑5pm.
• Hybrid working – minimum three days in the office at our Tropic HQ near Beddington Lane tram stop.
• Salary £30,000‑£35,000 depending on experience.
