Minibus Driver (Term-time)

About the role

Brighton College is looking for a reliable Minibus Driver to transport pupils safely during term time. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will operate college vehicles in line with schedules and maintain high standards of safety and service.

Key responsibilities

• Drive college minibus and other vehicles as required, adhering to routes and timetables.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑journey vehicle checks and ensure cleanliness inside and out.
• Assist and supervise passengers, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records and respond to reasonable management requests.

Required profile

• Full, clean UK D1 Minibus licence (essential); category D bus licence is desirable.
• Excellent communication and time‑management abilities.
• Positive, collaborative attitude with a “can‑do” approach.
• Confidence working with young people and willingness to undergo driver medical and first‑aid assessments.

Required skills

• Valid D1 Minibus driving licence.
• Ability to perform vehicle safety checks.
• Basic vehicle cleaning and maintenance.
