Mixed Tax Supervisor – Personal & Corporate Tax

About the role

We are partnering with a Top‑40 accountancy firm in Watford to recruit a Mixed Tax Supervisor who will manage both personal and corporate tax work for high‑net‑worth individuals and SMEs. You will lead a small team, own a client portfolio and contribute to the delivery of value‑added tax services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare corporate tax returns (CT600) for a range of SME and OMB private businesses.
• Prepare personal tax returns and self‑assessment filings for HNWI clients, business owners and families.
• Ensure all tax compliance is completed within HMRC deadlines and that client information is accurate.
• Assist the Tax Director with basic tax‑efficient strategies and planning across corporate and personal tax.
• Provide first‑point‑of‑contact support for UK tax queries and liaise with the wider tax team on projects such as dividend planning, EIS, CGT, non‑domicile, VCT and IHT.
• Oversee and mentor junior/graduate tax staff, ensuring quality and cost‑effective delivery.
• Engage with local referrers and external partners for business development.

Required profile

• Experience in a recognised Regional or Top‑100 practice, preferably ATT‑qualified and/or CTA‑qualified.
• Strong knowledge of UK corporate and personal tax issues.
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and meet strict HMRC deadlines.
• Excellent relationship‑building and team‑working skills.
