Mobile Software Engineer – Kotlin Multiplatform Lead

About the role

Join Cauli, a fast‑growing climate‑tech startup, as the lead Mobile Software Engineer. You will own the migration of native iOS and Android applications into a unified Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) codebase while delivering new features for both consumer‑facing and client‑facing products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile applications in Kotlin, including a point‑of‑sale client app and consumer tools used in the field.
• Architect and execute the transition to a single KMP codebase, integrating lightweight web apps with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet for container tracking.
• Collaborate directly with the Head of Tech and contribute to the broader tech stack, including PHP/Laravel back‑ends and occasional Python work on smart‑bin hardware.
• Ensure production‑quality code, perform code reviews, and support continuous delivery pipelines.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of professional mobile engineering experience with production‑level Kotlin and solid native Android development.
• Strong interest or hands‑on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and the ability to work across Android and iOS targets.
• Startup mindset: comfortable touching backend code, hardware integrations, and delivering end‑to‑end solutions.
