Mobile Vehicle Technician – High Wycombe

About the role

The RAC’s Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division is looking for a Mobile Vehicle Technician to deliver scheduled servicing and repairs to members in High Wycombe. You will work from a fully equipped van, following a digital schedule of pre‑booked appointments, and enjoy predictable hours without emergency call‑outs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and full vehicle diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Carry out in‑depth repairs normally done in a workshop.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
• Provide advice and recommendations to members based on inspections.
• Order parts and complete paperwork through RAC’s mobile platform.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with at least 2 years’ experience, OR 5+ years as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule.
• Commitment to a full‑time 40‑hour week with occasional Saturday shifts.
