Monitoring Surveyor – Manchester / North West & Yorkshire

About the role

We are seeking a Monitoring Surveyor to join a specialist development monitoring consultancy operating across the North of England. You will work on a varied portfolio of lender‑funded residential, hotel and commercial schemes, managing your own workload with a high degree of autonomy.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monitoring reports for lender clients
• Undertake site visits and assess construction progress
• Review cost plans, programmes and appraisals
• Report on risk, cash‑flow and drawdown requests
• Monitor compliance with loan conditions
• Provide commercially focused advice to funders

Required profile

• Experience as a Monitoring Surveyor, Building Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor
• Understanding of construction, cost and risk management
• MRICS qualification or working towards it
• Strong report writing and communication abilities
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and liaise confidently with lenders and project teams

• Salary £55,000 – £65,000 per year (flexible for the right candidate)
• Performance bonus £5,000 – £10,000 based on profit and individual performance
