Montessori Guide (Casa) – Full‑time

About the role

Morningside Montessori School is looking for a dedicated Montessori Guide to join our Casa classroom. This full‑time position starts in late August and supports the September 2023‑2024 school year, providing an authentic Montessori environment where children can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Montessori philosophy and classroom materials in daily activities.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment.
• Manage classroom behavior and resolve problems using Montessori‑based strategies.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to plan and evaluate student progress.
• Follow Morningside Montessori School policies, health, and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Passion for working with children and commitment to Montessori principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Patient, kind, and respectful attitude toward children, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• French language knowledge is an asset.

Required skills

• Current Standard First Aid, CPR and AED Level C certification.
• Up‑to‑date medical immunization record.
• Criminal reference check with vulnerable sector screening.
