Mortgage & Protection Case Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage & Protection Case Manager to join a highly‑rated independent financial advice and whole‑of‑market mortgage brokerage. You will work closely with advisers and clients to ensure mortgage and protection applications progress smoothly from submission to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Support advisers throughout the full mortgage and protection case lifecycle.
• Request, review and file client documentation, run ID checks and assist with affordability assessments.
• Process decisions in principle (DIPs) and submit applications accurately across a wide range of lenders and insurers.
• Liaise with clients, lenders, insurers, solicitors and estate agents to provide timely updates.
• Track mortgage offers, negotiate better rates and monitor protection underwriting progress.
• Maintain back‑office and task‑management systems, ensuring FCA‑compliant record keeping.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls professionally.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in mortgage administration, case management or a similar financial‑services support role.
• Strong understanding of the end‑to‑end mortgage process and FCA compliance.
• Previous experience managing protection cases (life, critical illness, income protection).
• At least 3 years relevant UK‑based work experience.
