Multi-Skilled Machine Operator

About the role

KP Snacks, part of the Intersnack family, is looking for a Multi-Skilled Machine Operator in Pontefract. You will play a key part in keeping the production lines running smoothly and efficiently, operating a range of packing and processing machinery to meet daily targets. Training is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Operate packing and processing machinery to meet output targets
• Resolve running issues and tackle operational challenges to keep lines running smoothly
• Work with colleagues to improve line performance and efficiency
• Carry out product testing and ensure quality standards are met at every stage of production
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and follow strict health, safety and hygiene procedures
• Clean lines during changeovers or shutdowns and follow the IWS ways of working principles

Required profile

• Experience in manufacturing or the food industry (highly desirable)
• Strong literacy, numeracy and attention to detail
• Ability to take ownership, multi-task and work to deadlines
• Teamworking skills, with the ability to work independently when needed

Shifts are a 3-shift rotation Monday to Thursday (06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, 22:00-06:00) and Fridays (06:00-13:00, 13:00-20:00, 20:00-03:00).
