Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical & PLC Focus

About the role

This is a hands‑on Maintenance Engineer position with an electrical bias, based in a brand‑new fully automated FMCG manufacturing site. You will lead a skilled engineering team, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of automated production machinery while developing your own technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Support the engineering team in planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance.
• Perform electrical and PLC fault‑finding on automated machinery.
• Respond to breakdowns, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safe and efficient maintenance operations across the site.
• Drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.

Required profile

• Multi‑skilled with a strong electrical bias.
• Proven PLC fault‑finding experience.
• Background in an automated factory or industrial manufacturing environment.
• Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Proactive, hands‑on approach and ability to work as part of a team.
• Leadership capability.
