Multi‑Skilled Engineer

About the role

Noble Foods is seeking a Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join the Thornton Packing Centre. Reporting to the Lead Engineer, you will maintain and enhance a highly automated production line, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine servicing.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Drive improvements in OEE, machine performance and reliability.
• Work cross‑functionally to raise production standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support audit readiness.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions.
• Champion Health & Safety, GMP and site hygiene standards.

Required profile

• Electrical and/or Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3+).
• Recognised apprenticeship (highly desirable).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an automated production environment.
• Experience in FMCG, food or brewery sectors preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
