About the role
Cleveland Clinic London is recruiting two engineering positions – a Multi‑Skilled Engineer and a Multi‑Skilled Shift Engineer – to deliver installation, maintenance and project work across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems in a high‑acuity hospital environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical support in designated disciplines and act as an authorised person for tasks.
- Liaise with specialist subcontractors, obtain and submit quotes for approval.
- Serve as the escalation point for tasks outside normal working hours.
- Identify required materials, source quotations and ensure SLA compliance for all assigned work.
- Communicate critical or business‑impacting issues to shift leads, estates supervisors and facilities management.
- Use mobile devices to capture time, record detailed notes and escort contractors on site.
- Prepare cost‑ed quotes for materials and submit to supervisors.
- Carry out fault identification, rectification and escalation for electrical, heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in plant areas, workshops and stores.
- Proactively undertake preventive maintenance and demonstrate initiative in supporting facility reliability.
Required profile
- Previous experience with CAFM systems (essential).
- Demonstrable experience in a similar engineering role (essential).
- Minimum C&G Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical discipline (essential).
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems (essential).
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office (essential).
- Healthcare experience is desirable.
