Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Technician – Electrical & Mechanical

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturing operation in Peterlee. The role involves both electrical and mechanical maintenance on a variety of automated production equipment, working on a rotating 4‑crew shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs on laser, plasma, paint, robotic welding, hydraulic, pneumatic and crane systems.
• Complete dynamic risk assessments and adhere to health and safety policies.
• Use the Computerised Maintenance Management System (e.g., SAP PM, Agility) to log work, review breakdown data and track corrective actions.
• Diagnose PLC issues, implement program changes and support root‑cause analysis.
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development as required.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Completed accredited apprenticeship with multi‑skill capability in electrical and mechanical functions (electrical preferred).
• Willingness to work 36.5 hours per week on a 4‑crew, days/nights rotating schedule.
