NAD Group Security Apprenticeship Scheme

About the role

Join the National Armaments Director Group (NAD Group) at MOD Abbey Wood and start a 26‑30 month security apprenticeship. You will gain hands‑on experience across personnel, physical and cyber security while working towards a Level 4 qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities across the organisation.
• Support the assessment of complex security challenges and contribute to risk registers.
• Help design proportionate security solutions for people, assets and information.
• Deliver security briefings and assist in protective security planning.
• Rotate through specialist security teams to build a broad skill set.

Required profile

• Five GCSEs (grades 4‑9) including English and Mathematics.
• At least two A‑Levels (minimum grade C).
• Motivation to work in a defence environment and a curiosity for security topics.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of cyber security concepts.
• Awareness of physical security principles.
• Interest in personnel security processes.
