Newly Qualified Employment Solicitor – London

About the role

We are looking for a newly qualified solicitor to join a specialist employment and discrimination law practice in Canary Wharf. The role is full‑time, office‑based and involves handling a high volume of contentious and non‑contentious matters for senior‑level clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice on disciplinary, grievance, performance management, redundancies, restructuring and termination matters.
• Support senior lawyers with Employment Tribunal claims from inception to resolution.
• Draft and negotiate contracts, settlement agreements, staff handbooks, policies and procedures.
• Conduct legal research and deliver commercially focused advice on legislative developments.
• Assist with TUPE transfers, business reorganisations and employment aspects of corporate transactions.
• Manage a varied caseload under supervision, meeting service standards and deadlines.
• Attend client meetings, hearings, mediations and tribunals as required.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
• Strong understanding of UK employment legislation and Employment Tribunal procedures.
• Excellent research, drafting and analytical abilities.
• Commercial awareness and a practical problem‑solving approach.
• Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
