News Desk Reporting Intern

About the role

Join CNN's award‑winning news desk in London as a Reporting Intern. You will support the creation of breaking and international news content across TV and digital platforms, gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced newsroom.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor developing news stories alongside editors and reporters.
• Research, pitch, and contribute to news and feature stories.
• Write and produce articles for cnn.com and live newsletters.
• Collaborate with video, photo, and design teams to enhance multimedia storytelling.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or postgraduate study in journalism or related field (not mandatory).
• Strong passion for international news and current affairs.
• Proven research ability and demonstrable news writing samples.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive, eager to learn and comfortable supporting a variety of newsroom tasks.
