Night Hygiene Operative – Food Production (Temp-to-Perm)

About the role

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a Night Hygiene Operative to join a busy food manufacturing site in Prescot, Liverpool. The role works the night shift (10 pm‑6 am, Monday‑Friday) and offers a clear path from temporary to permanent employment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean walls, floors and production machinery in the packing area.
• Prepare production lines for the morning shift.
• Perform swabbing to verify cleaning effectiveness.
• Report daily non‑conformances and ensure corrective actions are completed before production starts.
• Carry out weekly chemical stock checks and maintain accurate records.
• Update hygiene documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives across the factory.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a hygiene or industrial cleaning role (essential).
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
• Understanding of internal auditing processes (advantageous).
• Excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Ambition to progress to a Hygiene Team Leader role.
