Night Shift Production Manager – FMCG Food Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Night Shift Production Manager to lead a high‑volume FMCG food manufacturing team in Thatcham. The role combines hands‑on floor presence with strategic oversight to ensure safe, efficient and quality output during the 23:00‑07:00 shift.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately 20 operators and line leaders, providing direction and support throughout the night shift.
• Monitor production targets, quality standards and health‑and‑safety compliance on the shop floor.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement lean manufacturing techniques.
• Manage shift documentation, reporting and hand‑over to the day‑shift team.
• Collaborate with the Factory Manager and Unit Manager to achieve operational goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead production teams in a fast‑paced setting.
• Experience in chilled, ambient or high‑care food manufacturing is desirable.

Required skills

• Knowledge of BRC standards.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
