Night Staff Nurse

About the role

Join Cygnet St William’s, a 12‑bed neuropsychiatric service in Darlington, delivering specialist care for acquired brain injuries and progressive neurological conditions. This permanent night‑only position offers 39 hours per week of rewarding, patient‑focused work.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate written reports based on nursing assessments and observations.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop, audit and improve service quality.
• Maintain individual care plans in line with NMC guidelines, involving residents, families and multidisciplinary staff.
• Administer medicines safely following healthcare procedure and Commission guidelines.
• Participate in all required training and CPD activities.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with a current NMC PIN.
• Demonstrated ability to keep thorough documentation and conduct audits.
• Understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 and current nursing best practices.
• Commitment to patient recovery, risk management and empowerment.
