Night Transport Planner – Belfast

About the role

Gist, in partnership with M&S, is looking for a Night Transport Planner to keep its Belfast operation running smoothly. You will be at the heart of a fast‑paced transport environment, ensuring vehicles move safely, efficiently and on time during the night shift.

Key responsibilities

• Plan vehicle movements and manage daily transport operations during night hours.
• Support drivers and operational teams throughout the shift.
• Manage rotas and transport resources effectively.
• Respond quickly to operational challenges and customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with driver regulations and Working Time Directive (WTD).
• Collaborate with colleagues across shifts to maintain service levels.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

Required profile

• Experience in transport planning or logistics operations.
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours, WTD and transport compliance.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and enjoy teamwork.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• National or International CPC (preferred but not essential).
