Nurse – Support Young People with Complex Health Needs

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Nurse to join our vibrant community at Craig-Y-Parc, supporting children and young adults with complex health needs. The role is term‑time only, offering a rewarding mix of personal care, independent‑living support, and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised personal care and delegated healthcare tasks, including medication administration, while respecting dignity and preferences.
• Support young people to achieve positive outcomes, facilitating access to education, employment, and social activities.
• Encourage participation in hobbies and community outings, both one‑to‑one and in group settings.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to the creation and regular updating of individual care and support plans.
• Involve individuals in risk assessments to promote an active, meaningful lifestyle.
• Safeguard health, well‑being and safety, reporting concerns in line with Salutem policies.
• Assist with capacity assessments and best‑interest decisions.
• Respect and support spiritual, cultural and religious choices, ensuring access to community facilities.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people who have complex health needs.
• Ability to deliver personal care with dignity and respect.
• Commitment to safeguarding and reporting procedures.
• Willingness to engage in community‑based activities and support independence.

What we offer

• Competitive hourly rate of £18.85 – £23.85.
• 18 hours per week (Monday, Friday 08:30‑16:00; Tuesday 08:30‑12:30) during term time.
