Nursery Assistant – West Leeds

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established nursery in West Leeds to find enthusiastic Nursery Assistants on a short‑term, supply basis. You will join a supportive team to deliver high‑quality care and early learning experiences for young children in a safe, stimulating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the classroom and learning materials for each session.
• Plan and deliver activities that promote physical, emotional and intellectual development.
• Assist children with daily routines such as dressing, feeding and toileting.
• Maintain a safe, clean and engaging environment.
• Observe, record and report on each child's progress.

Required profile

• Patient, caring and able to build strong relationships with children, staff and parents.
• Team‑oriented, flexible and approachable.
• Understanding of safeguarding policies in a nursery setting.
• Previous experience working with young children.
• Good communication skills.

Required skills

• Enhanced DBS check (must be available).
