About the role
You will prepare nutritious meals for children aged 0‑5 in a friendly nursery kitchen, helping to promote healthy eating habits and engaging children in food‑related activities.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and cook balanced meals that meet dietary and allergy requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment in line with food‑hygiene standards.
- Manage stock, order supplies and liaise with vendors.
- Collaborate with nursery staff to integrate cooking activities into the curriculum.
- Ensure accurate record‑keeping for allergens and dietary restrictions.
Required profile
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with children.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willingness to complete the course in the first week, paid by the employer).
Required skills
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
