Nursery Manager – Guildford

About the role

Winner Education is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a well‑established early years setting in Guildford. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, learning and safeguarding while inspiring a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of nursery practitioners and support staff.
• Ensure full compliance with the EYFS framework, Ofsted inspections and safeguarding requirements.
• Oversee daily operations, maintaining a safe, engaging and child‑friendly environment.
• Monitor occupancy levels and support the growth and financial success of the setting.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers and the wider community.
• Support staff training, development and performance management.
• Promote high‑quality teaching, learning and care across the nursery.

Required profile

• Level 3 childcare qualification (NNEB, BTEC, CACHE, NVQ or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or Assistant Nursery Manager.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Proactive, commercially aware approach with a passion for early years education.
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.

• Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
