Nursery Practitioner

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioners to work across a variety of well‑established nurseries in High Wycombe and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible full‑time or part‑time hours, allowing you to gain experience in different early years settings while making a positive impact on young children.

Key responsibilities

• Support children’s learning and development through play‑based activities.
• Create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for children aged 0‑5.
• Assist with daily routines such as mealtimes, outdoor play, and personal care.
• Encourage social, emotional and educational development.
• Follow nursery policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with permanent nursery teams to deliver high‑quality care.

Required profile

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (preferred).
• Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting.
• Reliable, adaptable and confident working in different environments.
• Positive attitude and genuine passion for early years education.
• Ability to quickly build relationships with children and staff.
