About the role
Tradewind Recruitment is looking for an experienced Level 3 Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming nursery in Stockport from September 2026. This full‑time, long‑term role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, supporting young learners in a play‑based environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support children’s learning and development through structured, play‑based activities.
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
- Assist the lead teacher with daily planning, record‑keeping, and classroom management.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage social interaction among children.
Required profile
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or an Ofsted‑recognised equivalent).
- Recent, proven experience working in a nursery setting.
- Confidence in delivering play‑based learning and supporting child development.
- Reliability, enthusiasm, and a commitment to making a positive impact.
