Nursing Associate – Children and Young People's Community Nursing

About the role

The Nursing Associate will join the Children and Young People's Community Nursing Team, delivering safe and compassionate care to patients in their homes and local clinics across the Bolton area. Working under the NMC Standards of Care, you will help keep children and young people (CYP) out of hospital by providing responsive nursing interventions close to home.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing interventions at home and in clinic settings for CYP.
• Undertake routine procedures such as venepuncture, vital signs monitoring, pressure area care, wound care, NG‑tube and gastrostomy care.
• Record and interpret vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to a registered nurse.
• Support patients and their families to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.
• Collaborate with the wider nursing team to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
