Occupational Therapist – Bowersgate School

About the role

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the multidisciplinary team at Bowersgate School, a brand‑new specialist SEND school in Wythenshawe. The school will open in September 2026 and will serve up to 72 pupils aged 6‑16 with autism, social, emotional and mental health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and formulate individual therapeutic plans for pupils.
• Deliver one‑to‑one and group occupational therapy interventions within the school and residential settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, residential staff and other health professionals to embed therapeutic support across the curriculum.
• Provide consultation, workshops, training and guidance to educational and residential teams.
• Contribute to the development of a therapeutic living and learning environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the appropriate professional body.
• Experience working with children and young people with complex SEND needs, including autism and mental health challenges.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with staff and families.
