Offboarding Assistant

About the role

The Offboarding Assistant provides essential administrative support to the Front Office, ensuring a smooth and compliant exit process for private and commercial banking clients. You will manage account closures, client switching requests, and the archiving of client data while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process account closure requests, disabling online banking in line with Service Level Agreements.
• Communicate progress to Private/Commercial Bankers and clients throughout the off‑boarding journey.
• Manage current account switching cases, monitoring daily progress to ensure timely completion.
• Archive client documentation according to regulatory requirements and store it centrally in the Document Management System.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance client service and operational efficiency.
• Report system faults promptly and support colleagues across Banking Operations.
• Assist the wider Client Data & Document Control team during workload fluctuations.
• Observe internal policies to manage risks associated with the role.

Required profile

• Knowledge of financial industry regulations, particularly Anti‑Money Laundering and Data Protection Act (desirable).
• Previous banking experience, especially servicing private‑client or high‑net‑worth (HNW) customers (desirable).
• Proven ability to handle data transfers and maintain accurate client records.
