Operations Manager – DX-2

About the role

This position leads the operational side of DX's service centre, ensuring budgeted service, cost and quality targets are met. You will manage staff, third‑party subcontractors and owner‑drivers while overseeing premises, equipment and consumables.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi‑shift logistics operation for parcel and freight services.
• Maintain high‑quality customer service and nurture ongoing customer relationships.
• Oversee a diverse workforce, including PAYE drivers, self‑employed drivers and subcontractors.
• Control direct‑cost budgets and drive cost‑effective performance.
• Manage premises, equipment and consumables to ensure optimal operation.
• Partner with the General Manager to drive change and integrate service‑centre processes.

Required profile

• Proven line‑management experience in a production, logistics, mail or parcels environment.
• Experience running a multi‑shift logistics operation.
• Track record of delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to manage a diverse workforce, including subcontractors and drivers.
• Experience handling direct‑cost budgets.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) or similar tools.
