Operations Manager – Financial Planning Firm

About the role

The Operations Manager will act as the operational backbone of a growing financial planning firm, ensuring that day‑to‑day processes run smoothly and efficiently. Working closely with the Directors, you will lead the Administration and Paraplanning teams, remove bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities and ensure processes are scalable and aligned with business objectives.
• Lead, manage and develop the Administration and Paraplanning teams, acting as the first point of escalation for operational challenges.
• Own end‑to‑end client workflows, monitor workload distribution, and proactively resolve capacity issues.
• Maintain high standards of client onboarding, service delivery, and handle complex client escalations.
• Conduct regular workflow planning meetings and reallocate resources to meet service level agreements.

Required profile

• Confident leader with experience in financial planning or a regulated professional services environment.
• Proven ability to manage people, workflows and operational priorities while maintaining exceptional service standards.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process optimisation and efficiency.
