Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead and shape the day‑to‑day operations of Aztech Buildings (Futura) in Cambridge, Waikato. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will have real autonomy to design processes, build a team and drive production in a fast‑growing NZ‑owned construction business.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end operations for Aztech Buildings projects.
• Develop and implement operational systems and procedures.
• Recruit, train and manage the operations team.
• Coordinate with project managers, suppliers and clients to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor production performance, budgets and quality standards.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and drive efficiency.
• Report operational metrics to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on leadership experience in construction or project‑based environments.
• Ability to work autonomously and make decisions.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience building teams from the ground up.
• Willingness to work on‑site full time.
