Operations Support Manager

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking an Operations Support Manager to join the Manchester Airport contract team. You will act as the primary liaison between retail and F&B concessions and the logistics and terminal teams, ensuring smooth coordination and high‑quality service delivery in a fast‑paced airport environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the management of operational staff, covering performance, attendance, recruitment, onboarding and development.
• Apply company policies consistently and assist with performance and disciplinary processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, proactively managing service expectations.
• Coordinate daily activities between terminal operations and the Consolidation Centre to meet priorities efficiently.
• Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to process, communication and service enhancements.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to evolve the role and promote a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• Experience in a people‑management or supervisory role within an airport, logistics, retail or multi‑site environment (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly to meet operational requirements.
