Optical Customer Technical Support Advisor

About the role

We are looking for an Optical Customer Technical Support Advisor to join our Milton Keynes site. You will work closely with production, sales and customer service teams, providing technical assistance to independent opticians across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers, internal colleagues and the sales team on lens, glazing and production queries.
• Handle complex enquiries, manage returns and guide customers through e‑ordering, remote edging and tracing services.
• Process customer orders accurately via phone, email and online systems, tracking progress through production.
• Respond to product, pricing and promotion enquiries, and resolve complaints professionally.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met and follow all company procedures.

Required profile

• Background in an optical glazing lab, optical manufacturing environment, or experience as an Optical Assistant with strong lens knowledge.
• Practical understanding of spectacle lenses and glazing processes.
• Experience in a customer service or technical support role within optics.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and clear written and verbal communication.
