About the role

Join Asda Opticians in Bournemouth as a part‑time Optometrist delivering high‑quality eye care. You will conduct routine eye examinations, contact lens assessments and extended service examinations while supporting the Dispensing Optician Manager in training and maintaining departmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens fittings.
• Deliver NHS‑contracted extended service examinations and monitoring.
• Support colleagues through training, coaching and standards compliance.
• Maintain up‑to‑date clinical knowledge and obtain additional accreditations as required.
• Optionally supervise GOC‑registered students to develop future professionals.
• Collaborate with in‑store, regional and head‑office teams for clinical and service queries.

Required profile

• GOC‑registered Optometrist with a commitment to patient care.
• Enthusiastic about contributing to high service standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork and community interaction.
